Q: What is your educational background?
A: B.A. Physical Education and Sports Studies, Bethany College, Bethany WV

Q: Athletic background?
A: I played Basketball, football, and Ran Track (400m) throughout high school.
I Played Football at Bethany College ( WR and Safety) It was a cool accomplishment to be named the Team MVP for 2009 and was selected to participate in the All American Bowl sponsored by

Q: Greatest accomplishment?
A: Starting a family

Q: Do you follow Paleo, Zone, Macros? Or do you eat whatever?
A: I tend to eat whatever I want, however wish upon a star to have the will power and dedication to follow the Zone.

Q: When would we find you at Mayview?
A: Everyday at Noon
M,T, W 5:30-6:30
Saturday 8am-11am

Q: What is your favorite WOD?
A: Grace

Q: Least favorite exercise? WOD?
A: I hate the rower as a solo exercise.
I also dislike Grace for the same reason I like it; the better you get with Clean and Jerk the worse the workout feels.

Q: Who pushes you the most in the gym?
A: Myself and my Ego, I cannot seem to kick my competitive background. I also believe that fitness is something you should do for yourself not for the satisfaction of others, but the fulfilment of tackling a new goal or setting a new personal best, this way you can become the best you.

Q: What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit?
A: I must confess I am a media junkie.
I really enjoy video games and movies. But also like to spend lazy time just sitting around drinking coffee with people I care about.

Q: If you were stuck on an island with one barbell and one song playing, which movement would you choose and what song?
A: Any song gets annoying after a while. But I’m going to go with anything Led Zeppelin and do Squat clean thrusters that way I’ll be so drained that I can’t hear the song on repeat.

Q: Favorite quote?
A: I have two:

Both of these quotes can sum up the need to confront adversity head on.

Q: If you had to pick one city in the world to live in, where would you live, why?
A: Pittsburgh. This city is the best mix of bust your back to provide a good life, mixed with the ability to enjoy the simple things to unwind, great restaurants, even better sports teams, and a friendly mindset, for the most part.

Q: Favorite place to be (in Pittsburgh)?
A: Heinz Field during a playoff game.

Q: Why do you CrossFit?
A: Multiple reasons. But mainly mental clarity and physical wellbeing. Not to mention fight off the onset of DadBod

Q: Favorite TV shows? Book?
A: I have a bunch of TV shows I like to watch esp. sitcoms. Favorite Book: The Outsiders

Q: If you could have a snack while doing box step ups, what would it be?
A: Chipotle Bowl with chips.

A: Snatch more than Dan Smith.
